Websites in 2021 – trends in graphic designs

“Trends 2021” screams from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021 many titles of texts on graphic design of websites. What are trends for us as a marketing agency? Trends are some inspiration for us, but we always add something from ourselves. We also often go around the band and change the rules of the game without following the trends. We are going a step ahead. We do it because we want our clients’ websites to stand out from the competition. We are not afraid to take risks. We know that this risk will pay off.

So what are the inspirations for 2021 in graphic designs of websites? We have selected for you the most interesting ones which we will use in our graphic projects … of course, complementing them with style, ideas and individual concepts prepared specially by our graphic designers;)

So we start:

1. A world of colors, i.e. a combination of intense colors with the simplicity of graphic elements

Thanks to the strong colors, the website will win the user’s interest, and through simple graphic elements will guide his eyes where it is important to you. In 2021, a good website will not be afraid of strong color combinations. It’s a trick that can make it stand out, show the brand’s character, its uniqueness and let it be remembered. After all, the world belongs to the brave.

2. Change of course, i.e. disturbance of harmony under full control

Symmetrical and predictable layouts of content or graphics will be replaced by controlled asymmetry that will attract attention. This is not about uncontrollable chaos, but about deliberate breaking of rules. It’s about the elements that in this already predictable pattern, repeated on all other pages, will allow the user to explore the page in 2021 with curiosity.

3. GIF me faster page loading, i.e. videos from photos speed up

Videos on websites will continue to be an important part of them, visually desired by users and arouse interest after entering the site. Until now, however, the problem was the time of loading it with the film on it. If it lasted too long, customers were leaving her. A good website can handle this by placing animated photos from it in the form of gif files.

4. Handmadic website designs, i.e. illustrations and handwriting in the virtual world

2021 is the time when a website will become a literal artistic expression of its creator, i.e. it will be a work whose graphic elements will be made by hand and only later translated into pixels. This is one of the hottest trends in website design in 2021. Thanks to the illustrations, the site will have its own individual style that will make it stand out from the competition. In addition to illustrations, it will also have a handwriting. It will give her a “human” character and arouse positive emotions.

5. Liquid shapes, i.e. smoothness and softness

Forget about geometric shapes. In 2021, smooth, borderless shapes associated with infinity, creativity and movement will reign, giving the sides the effect of smoothness and lightness. They can also be turned up with spectacular animations, for which liquids are perfectly suited.

6. Vintag dizziness, or a return to the past

This return to the past has been going on for some time, but it does not bother anyone. If there is something to inspire then why not? So the crazy 1920s and crazy 50s are back. The characteristic colors and graphics for these periods will find their new reflection in graphic designs of websites in 2021, perfectly capturing the attention of recipients.

7. Move it, i.e. isometry animation

Isometrics have also been popular for several years. After all, it’s a great way to show three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional surface. In 2021, the more animations and movement will be added to them, the better and more enjoy it will keep the eye intrigued.

8. Two in one, i.e. a combination of photos and illustrations

This will probably be one of the great trends in web design. This is a procedure that will give the pages a slightly different dimension and interest their recipients. The illustrations, due to their uniqueness and clear colors, attract attention so that the users of the page stay on it and want to discover it.

9. Be pattern, i.e. pages with pattern

2021 is the time for great return of designs on websites. The best in them is the variety and the multitude of possibilities of use – from the whole background to only selected elements. Pattern is an extremely refreshing element of its design that also gives it a very modern look.

10. Real 3D effects, i.e. see what is virtually real

3D projects are one of the best ways to show the depth and realism of reality in a virtual world. Regardless of whether they will be static in 2021 as in previous years or interactive as it is to be developed in this year’s trends, 3D effects will definitely impress with the appearance of website users.

11. Black and white, a timeless classic

Elegant and eternally vivid black and white graphic designs of websites will still find a multitude of admirers and recipients. Minimalism and maxi typography are their special features, allowing for excellent distinction from the offer. The addition of a large empty space and a limited palette of colors will captivate you with their taste and functionality.

12. Dark mode, i.e. the dark side of power

Website designs in dark mode are starting to enjoy increasing popularity. What constitutes their power is their supplementation with bright or clear, often neon shades and intuitive topography, which together creates excellent readability of designs.

13. Line art, or the art of creating from lines

Graphics created using lines are currently a very well developing trend in designing, and not just websites. It also covers all other areas of graphic design. Website designs using line art are perceived as professional and very creative as well as bold. This is an element of art that can be discovered on the website.

14. Gradient, i.e. experiments with colors

This trend has already appeared in previous years, but is still developing well and finding more and more fans. Graphic designers love it and I will use it this year both in bold multi-colored varieties and in more subtle ones. Backgrounds, texts, additional graphic elements on the page – gradients will be everywhere where it will be necessary to achieve a cool effect, especially since they look good on any screen from a large TV or desktop to small displays of mobile devices.

15. Layers, i.e. the layer on the layer forming the depth

Overlapping layers or elements make the website dynamic and interesting. The photos, videos and animations that are part of them are excellent additions. Best of all, they can be used in many different design templates.

16. Bold love, which is the attractive power of bold fonts

The biggest are doing it right. What on their pages attracts attention first? Headers in large, bold font. Thanks to them, websites in 2021 will focus the recipients’ eyes on the content that is important to you, and in addition will give them a modern and contemporary look. You have to be careful only one thing – do not use them on a large amount of text. If everything is out-lined, nothing will stand out. A set of also folded headers with a neutral background.

Websites in 2021 in terms of graphics will therefore be colorful, with asymmetrically arranged elements, faster thanks to GIFs, eye-catching hand-drawn illustrations and fonts, containing smooth shapes, reminiscent of the style of the past, containing animated isometric elements, using a combination of photos and graphics , black and white or black, consisting of lines, enjoying the eye with gradients or numerous overlapping layers giving it movement.
